I wondered if this man were fishing for sea trout? I did not know such as species existed until I talked with my brother-in-law this morning.

I thought it was interesting that not only are there waves in the ocean, but the water leaves the sand underneath in waves too.

Chorro looked around for trouble and found a huge dead fish in the sand to roll in. I took a picture of it but decided to spare you. He also found these -- I think we both thought they were birds' eggs at first glance, but they are someone's collection of pretty shells.

As we wandered the beach look what else we found. Wildflowers! Is that our first sign of spring? All of them were blooming in the sandy dunes above the beach. The first one is something that I've never seen in my part of the country. It was quite large, two or more inches across, with four petals, fading to green in the center, maybe six or eight inches tall. Might be a primrose. Maybe my flower person will comment.

These little yellow flowers, I'm guessing might be arnica.

And finally a delightful little version of a daisy, I'm pretty sure is called a Mojave Desert Star.

And, naturally, another sunset. Sunset here is just a few minutes before 6 pm. Of course, I can't really tell how much longer the days are getting because I am always travelling to a different area of the time zone. But I know they ARE getting longer.
And tomorrow is a new day.

Spring! Spring! How lucky you are!
Now the trick is to keep up with it, and not ahead of it, for the next few months! How lucky for us that we get to see / experience right along with you.
I'm so envious of those shells--are you allowed to collect them in a state park?
Your sunset looked every bit as wonderful as the sunrise! Thank U!
