Today's sky has been thoroughly thunderstorm washed and is brilliant blue. We will go out for a walk as soon as it warms up to shorts temperature again.
My friend Allison said that my "National Duck" of a couple of days ago is a grebe, either a horned or eared grebe, she couldn't be sure because the picture wasn't clear enough. So we went back to see if I could get another picture today. No grebes, but I found this gorgeous guy.
Then we went over to Gator Pond to see what Mr. G was up to today, but he wasn't there. The pond was especially beautiful today, reflecting the azure sky.
Today Mr. Gator's spot was held down by a lovely lady, maybe she goes with the gorgeous guy in the above picture.

We went to the overlook to see what kind of view we'd have there. Very nice.

Walking home, we were followed by yet one more tractor. Maybe I attract tractors.

Here's the funniest thing I saw today.

Yes, she has her little poodle in a stroller. I asked Chorro if he would like to ride in a baby stroller. He turned his head away and would not even look at me, let alone answer. Can't say that I blame him.

We will be packing up tomorrow and travelling westward ho. I'm not sure how far we will go, so we'll see where we are tomorrow evening.
Tomorrow is a new day.

What a beautiful egret! We have the great blue herons all winter here in Albuquerque, but the egrets are only here in the summer. I think your egret is a great egret, which I have only seen at Bosque del Apache. They are truly impressive birds (and very closely related to the great blue heron, so your two birds do sort of go together.
The alligator pictures earlier were cool too. Both times I went to Florida, I tried to find a wild alligator, but never saw one.
Hurricans, tornados, thunderstorms, & alligators, now I see the attraction to the south!!
Yes, I know, without the above, you wouldn't have had the other experiences, but wow, the storm sounded a bit scarey to me.
The photos of the egret and the blue heron (near and dear to my heart) were beautiful. The little 'gator the other day was too cute, but leave those big guys alone--I hear they can propel themselves out of the water like a flying fish (similar to the jumping rattlers we have here in Wyoming).
You didn't say if the last patch job took care of the leak?
Am anxious to hear where you lite for the night..hear's hoping you have fair winds and calm seas for your travel day!
