Here's the misty lake, very pretty and very gray. Very difficult to see where the shoreline is, but you can just catch a glimpse of a little dock off on the lower right side.

Here's the lake when it was just a little lighter.

I disturbed a blue heron who quickly took flight. The lower blur in the picture is her reflection on the lake.

Here she is at the shore later on. I couldn't get very close to her without scaring her away again.

Since I needed to do laundry as well as post this, we drove into town for most of the day. It was a warm day even though there were lots of showers. We had a little afternoon time to walk around the campground. If only I had internet, we would stay here longer because it is very peaceful and has several hiking trails (yes, and snakes). I don't think the snakes hike in January, though.

We drove through rain and heavy, dark, low clouds all day.
However, there was an exciting moment in Victoria, Texas, when we filled up with gas and found this station offered us a 30 cent per gallon savings over most everything we've seen in the last three months!

I had two possible state park campgrounds in mind for this evening, but once again (twice again) I found no cell service. Just before dark, we finally came to an RV Park just on the edge of town that would work for us.
It's called River's Bend, so Chorro insisted that we check out the river that must come with it.
Sure enough, we found it, after I set up and got my computer online.

So now we are both happy campers.

And tomorrow is a new day!
