Texas, here we come!

One last farewell to this beautiful spot at Lake Murray, Oklahoma.

It takes a while to nail everything down before traveling, and sometimes the hardest is Chorro. He hid in the weeds and watched me packing up. I know he was hoping I’d forget him and he’d be spared his least favorite job as co-pilot watching the road nervously. But I didn’t forget him.

I thought I’d see a huge Welcome to Texas sign, but it was so small I almost missed it! And Texas definitely has a different feel to it than Oklahoma.

The interstate was immediately busier, it seemed as though there was one long town from the state border to Denton, Texas. It got warmer and more humid, we turned on the AC. Everybody drives chunky cars here. I expected pick up trucks, like Montana, and they probably are somewhere, but not on this road today, just chunky cars.

These chubby little cars, or SUV’s, I really can’t tell them apart, give me hope that the tide is turning and chubby little women will be in fashion too.

Mr. Chorro has spent the last two days panting, so the lucky little guy is scheduled for a haircut first thing in the morning. He's actually having trouble keeping cool.
I went shopping at Albertson's today, wahoo, big city supermarket! I got some fresh veggies to have with the tail end of my chicken cacciatore. And yes, some flowers too.

Since I didn’t have much in the way of pictures today, I will post my sunrises and sunsets along the way. As you can tell, that’s my favorite subject for taking pictures.

Each one was a different stop along the way, starting at sunrise over the Pumpkin Buttes as seen from Dene's house at Kaycee.

Travel days are tiring, so it's time for bed. See you tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a new day!

Hi Mom! I love your blogs, I look forward to them in the mornings and they always make me smile! Leaving a comment was pretty easy, but I did have to set up a google account, which it walked me through nicely. I'm off to pout and sulk! Have a great day!
love, kristilynni
