Still Making Lists

We woke up in the WalMart parking lot today, early. Partly because the semi’s were noisy and partly because we had an 8:00 AM appointment for Chorro.

On our way in last evening we spotted a PetSmart, Chorro’s favorite store. Well the only store he can go into so maybe it’s not really his favorite. But he does like it that they have all sorts of bags of treats down at puppy dog level where he can smell them. A most interesting place.

Chorro was due for a haircut and shampoo. He has been panting for two days straight, I think it’s the combination of heat and humidity. Now a November haircut would not be a good idea in Montana, but we’re experiencing new things this year. I'm wearing shorts and sandals and Chorro's getting a butchcut.

He did a little last minute footdragging when he figured out we weren’t going to cruise the aisles. Into the little salon he went and got whisked away out of site. “Come back in three hours or so.” Well that should be enough time to make man or beast look good. What do you think?

Chorro’s haircut and bath, CHECK.

While I was waiting, I walked back over to WalMart and had another key made for the RV. Yes, I had a spare set made before I left, but that set is tucked away in my purse, inside the RV. Every time I leave the RV I double check that my keys are in my pocket, because I always lock it up – computer, camera, etc. I just know that I am going to lock myself out one day soon. So I got one of those little magnetic key boxes and found a place on the outside to leave the key that opens the door.

Locked-out proofed, CHECK.

Then, off to re-find Camping World, where I had an appointment to get the blown-off vent cover replaced. Well it was definitely easier to find the second time, and we arrived in prompt fashion.

But they didn’t have a cover to fit my vent! Many covers in stock, but not the right one.

Vent hood replaced, No check on that one.

However, I had forgotten that my air conditioner leaked when it rains, and guess what. Last night it rained. That was a timely reminder. So I had them check that while I was there.

Air conditioner leak fixed, CHECK.

By then I was really eager to leave Denton, Texas, it is way too much like a big city (really, it’s a suburb of Dallas).

So we headed east once more. Our goal was to find a campground before dark, since I find it a little intimidating to be driving around country roads in the dark searching for something I can’t see.

So this picture tells the rest of the story:

Beautiful campground, CHECK.

We'll explore tomorrow.
Tomorrow is a new day!

Wow, what beautiful places you are finding to camp in! Just in case you're interested...we had HUGE winds last night (in Bozeman even!) and woke up to a snowstorm this morning....aaaah for shorts and a butch haircut! (which, by the way, is extremely handsome.:)

Are you closer to Mississippi now? It's 80 degrees here today and very sunny. Xena is waiting on her visit from Chorro.
