Is It Spring Yet?
Skies were gray and cloudy this morning when Chorro and I headed west.
They cleared up shortly and the central Texas day became lovely and warm. We decided it would be a good night to stay at Uncle Wally's. When we stay at Uncle Wally's, we boondock (camp without water, power, or sewer). We are never alone when we stay overnight at Walmart. Walmart welcomes RVers to boondock in their parking lot. RVers usually shop a little while they are there. Or a lot.
Nights at Walmart are quite peaceful. Since we have no electricity, I cannot watch a video, surf the internet, or read email, so I usually go to bed early and read by flashlight. It brings to mind days when I was a little girl and we children in my very large family all read comics in bed by flashlight after we went to bed because when my parents went to bed, they turned off the generator that provided our rural home with electricity. Flashlight batteries always topped our want lists.
This Walmart had two charming rest areas adjacent to its parking lot.
The second one was handicapped accessible.
I was thrilled to find gasoline here for $1.35 a gallon, the lowest price I have paid, ever, on my vagabond ventures. That is quite a contrast to the $4.25 I was paying last summer. But of course not nearly as good as $1.19 right now in Casper, Wyoming!
Flowers were blooming everywhere. They brought to mind Spring. I decided it is not too early to begin Spring-chasing. I will be watching for signs of spring wherever I go.

I forgot to change the setting on my camera for close-ups, so these pictures are not very sharp. However, I was enchanted.
Today was a good day.

Your spring pictures were beautiful and gave me hope of a new season, seemingly far off here in Wyoming land! I'm getting caught up on your travelogues! Miss you much, Dene
